Maelstorm explained why Team Spirit decided on such a sudden replacement

Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov called the replacement of Airat “Silent” Gaziev in Team Spirit a correct decision, since maybe he was just sent to rest and the team needed to refresh itself.

He said this during an interview.

“Whether this decision is right or wrong first of all time will show. Secondly you need to know the reasons and they were not told to us. I assume this is more of a right decision because Spirit got a bit stale and needs some kind of refresh. Maybe not even a roster change but so that Silent himself could refresh a little. He was given such a vacation”

According to him it’s not a fact that the team’s coach left the team forever and maybe he was just allowed to rest. This theory is also supported by the words of Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov who said that no replacement is planned and Silent will return.

The commentator also noted the unique style of the current coach pointing out that no one else would be able to continue developing the team in the same direction.
