Maelstorm compared the gameplay patch of Dota 2 to the New Frontiers update: the game could undergo a transformation

“This patch will be released during DreamLeague, just like New Frontiers, a big global update that transformed the game completely,” he wrote on his telegram.

That was what he wrote on his Telegram channel.

“By the way, New Horizons came out in the middle of DreamLeague too”

This could have been an indication that this time round the changes will also be very huge as it was in New Frontiers where they expanded the map and did many changes concerning the gameplay. It may even be possible that Valve might once again make massive reworks to surprise not only esport professionals but all Dota 2 players.

Recall that previously Valve declared May 23 as a release day for Dota 2’s gameplay patch giving a hint to this in their most recent game update.
