Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov shared insider information that a new global reshuffle will begin in January 2025, and teams will once again be changing their rosters.
He mentioned this in an interview with the YouTube channel HardBass TV.
"Most teams' contracts are ending at the end of 2024, and there will be reshuffles again; some players will return, some won't click together. There's basically no roster lock. There are some points, but if you’re underperforming, it's easier to get rid of them and build a new roster, and many teams and players are gathered only for the upcoming tournaments. Then in 2025, one of my insiders directly told me that everything will start anew in January"
Maelstorm explained that many players' contracts are expiring at the beginning of next year, which will lead to another wave of mass reshuffles in teams. According to him, some clubs will change their rosters despite losing points in order to strengthen their lineups.
The commentator and analyst emphasized that the Dota 2 pro scene is expecting a repeat of the global reshuffle that occurred after The International 2024 concluded.
A similar statement was previously made by Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, who indicated that Dyrachyo and Gpk might return to competitive play in January 2025.
