Danil “Dendi” Ishutin gave a positive assessment of the Dota 2 ranking system update that came with Patch 7.41e.
The player shared his thoughts on Telegram.
“Cool update. It was long overdue. I don’t know how long people will stay motivated not to ruin public matches every third game, but that’s a matter for the next update—they need to fix the penalty system in MM there. Now you can play in parties too. And grind your way to the top. It’s become much more interesting and fun.”
According to Danil “Dendi” Ishutin, the developers should have overhauled the MMR system in Dota 2 a long time ago. The esports player believes that the change will positively impact the quality of matchmaking games, and that in the next update, the developers will revise the penalty system for unsportsmanlike conduct or signs of account boosting.
As a reminder, Nuenngara “23savage” Tiramanon previously reported an issue with matchmaking on Southeast Asian servers following the MMR reset in Dota 2.
