Ilya “Leamare” Silakov, a Dota 2 analyst, has refuted claims that the game's developers have no understanding of the game, revealing that the head of the development team has an MMR of over 12,000.

Leamare noted that many Dota 2 developers had a high MMR in the game before they even started working for Valve. The analyst criticized cyber sportsmen who said that developers have no understanding of the game and they don't even go into the pubs.
