Analysis and Reviews

The last act of season 2 of 'Arcane' episode three suggests that this was never meant to be the last season of the show. Indeed, it was always intended to be a cap of the series as such but the last 3 episodes were probably a bit crammed. However the series continues to astound its fans with the complexity of the characters and the universe itself.

Even with some structural defects and resolution issues, “Arcane” is an extraordinary animated saga and sets high standards for the other epics in the genre. Special attention is given to the seventh episode, ‘Pretend like it’s the first time’, which is regarded by numerous critics as the greatest episode of the season. The episode concentrates on Ekko who string of astringent events lead him to themes of regret, decision and new beginnings; thus, antending great complexity to the entire drama.

Conclusion

In the second episode of ‘Arcane’, the arc is even more improved as it broadens the League of Legends universe and the viewers are treated to an enticing story plot. This show has its fair share of flaws revolving around the last act, but overall, the series does contain pretty good animation, depth in the characters and emotional appeal so it is recommended for fans of the genre.
