Korb3n told how much MMR is needed to get into the Team Spirit youth roster

Dmitriy «Korb3n» Belov stated that, in order to join Team Spirit Academy, a young player should have a rating around 12 thousand MMR.

The team manager talked about requirements for young players during a Twitch stream.

«In this academy the minimal rating is 12 thousand MMR. There is no one to replace, they just take someone on record. In current realities, by 16 years old you should have 11.5-12 thousand. A thousander, basically. In NAVI Junior the same carry, who is now 15, six months ago had 11 thousand. You need to have 11.5-12 thousand at 16. There are different cases, but I speak on the example of Spirit Academy. I won’t speak for everyone»

Korb3n noted that he can’t speak for other teams, but in Team Spirit Academy young esports players had around 12 thousand MMR. Also, the manager said that right now they are not planning to change anyone in the youth roster, but continue to watch players and mark promising ones with the needed rating.

According to him, many young players now are in the top-1000 of the Dota 2 ladder, and organizations are watching them.
