Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov believes he might lose a large portion of his audience if he leaves
Team Spirit and becomes a Dota 2 commentator.
The
Team Spirit manager made this statement on Twitch.
“So what? Am I going to sit around playing Paragon? I’d probably end up at a factory. If we’re talking about full-time work, as soon as I become just a Dota caster, half the audience will drop off immediately. You can see this even with players. When a player is on a pro team, a certain number of people watch him. Look at Dyrachyo: how many views he had before, how many he has now. The difference is huge.”
According to a statement by Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the
Team Spirit manager does not rule out becoming a caster after leaving the team, but this prospect scares off a large portion of his audience, as is often the case with pro players who choose streaming after ending their careers on the pro scene.
As a reminder, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov previously explained why Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov will not be returning to
Team Spirit’s Dota 2 roster.
