According to Dmitry Korb3n Belov, who is a manager at
Team Spirit, it seems
Tundra Esports never really managed to fit in with Yegor “Nightfall” Grigorienko. This would make sense why the team was quick to replace his position with Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov.
He shared this information during a twitch stream.
“That’s rather odd because Nightfall was acquired through a transfer, but Tundra, uh, didn’t intend to hold... However, this is quite the transfer in itself, so how did they fit together? This is rather odd, and it’s not the type of change I’d associate with a team that just lost a qualifier. It’s quite interesting that Tundra wouldn’t keep Nightfall around especially after investing money, there’s a common trend where teams attempt to exhaust their options till the very end”
In reference to the signing of the carry for the
Tundra Esports roster, Korb3n brings up a pivotal detail,
Tundra Esports acquired Nightfall through a transfer and even paid for it so it is rather strange for them to replace him almost immediately. It strikes him odd because such a replacement hardly happens with just one qualifier taken into consideration.
Thus reasoned the manager, giving a further explanation on them trying Dyrachyo as a new carry for the reason that they were unable to come up with a common style when playing with Nightfall.
Previously, Korben spoke about
Tundra Esports replacing Dyrachyo with Nightfall rather heatedly.
