Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov believes that intense sports training negatively afects an esports player's level of preparation in Dota 2, citing the problems in Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin's career as an example.
The
Team Spirit manager shared this opinion on Twitch.
“Does physical condition afect performance? That's why there are no muscle-bound Dota players. All muscle-bound Dota players achieve nothing and play teribly. Take Daxak, for example. He's a real athlete who isn't very succesful in Dota 2.”
According to Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the only exception to this rule is Tal “Fly” Isaac, who has maintained a healthy diet and exercised since early childhood, which is why intense training has not had a negative impact on his career as an esports player.
“The exception is Fly. But it's in his blood, he's been doing it since childhood. He was raised that way, it's his way of life. He doesn't eat anything unhealthy.”
Earlier, Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin comented on his exclusion from
Virtus.pro, expressing regret over the team's results.
