Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated that Chan “Oli” Chong Kin was kicked from
Aurora due to terrible performances at tournaments, while Aleksandr “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek was removed for non-game-related reasons.
The
Team Spirit manager spoke about this during a stream on Twitch.
“Let’s put it this way, with Oli it’s clear why he was removed, it’s super obvious why. He just played very poorly, he played very badly here. Sorry, but that’s just a fact. I like Oli, two years ago he was playing insanely well, but right now he’s playing badly”
Korb3n admitted that he likes Oli and that the player showed great form two years ago, but at the moment his performance leaves much to be desired. At the same time, according to him, the situation with TORONTOTOKYO is completely different, and his departure is not related to in-game reasons.
“With TORONTOTOKYO it’s actually unclear. TORONTOTOKYO played well, well, normally. Somewhere well, somewhere normally, overall definitely not terribly. So he was clearly removed not for gameplay reasons, I think”
The manager emphasized that although
Aurora offlaner may not have always delivered outstanding results, overall he performed at a high level and there was little to criticize him for. Korb3n believes that TORONTOTOKYO’s departure or kick from the team is not connected to his tournament performances.
As a reminder,
Aurora have officially unveiled their new Dota 2 roster, announcing replacements for the departed players.
