Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated that Team Spirit never planned to sign Stanislav “Malr1ne” PotoraK, as they didn’t want to replace their midlaner and you simply can’t sign every best player.

The team manager talked about it during his stream on Twitch.

“We never had any intention to sign Malr1ne. If we talk in general, why we didn’t sign him... Stas is a good player, but you just can’t sign all the best ones. We only changed our midlaner once — in 2022. Stas was just starting to play in Nemiga back then, nobody knew about him. He only showed himself at the TI qualifiers in 2023. At that time we already won three big tournaments”

Thus, Korb3n denied the rumors that Team Spirit were planning to change their midlaner. According to him, the club last replaced their position two player back in 2022. He explained that no tier-1 team can sign every strong player.

He also clarified that Team Spirit were already showing great results when Malr1ne was just starting to make a name on the Dota 2 pro scene.

It’s worth noting, that the Team Spirit streamer suddenly became the coach of the team.
