Korb3n criticized Aurora’s 23-match winstreak, pointing out an important nuance

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov does not consider Aurora’s 23-game winstreak to be a real achievement, reminding that most of the opponents were frankly weak teams.

He spoke about this during a stream on Twitch.

“Did you see what teams that winstreak was against, bro? I think you can farm a winstreak of a thousand games if you only play open qualifiers. Sure, they had, like, Team Yandex, BetBoom Team and Team Spirit — those are good teams, but that’s just three matches. The majority of the games were teams like VP.Prodigy and stuff like that. A winstreak… the winstreak of all winstreaks, bro. Out of twenty three matches only three were against normal teams”

According to him, Aurora’s achievement is not that impressive, since only 3 out of 23 matches were against strong opponents. Korb3n emphasized that it is possible to build an even longer winstreak if you only play open qualifiers, hinting that most teams there are not tier-1 level.
