Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov believes that the level of preparation of players in the core positions has a greater influence on the outcome of the game than the skill of supports.
The corresponding statement by
Team Spirit's manager was made during his personal Twitch stream.
"Supports, no matter how prime they are, unfortunately, the game depends on cores. If cores are in trouble, any support won't make much difference. It helps, of course, but can't win. But if you imagine a situation where a support is struggling, some core in prime condition can turn things around."
However, Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov adds that lately, the game is becoming more team-oriented, causing victory to depend more on the cohesion of the lineup rather than the skills of individual players.
Despite supports primarily providing assistance to players in core positions, their level of responsibility is quite high. Often, players in the fourth or fifth position act as the captain of the team and are responsible for coordinating the actions of the other members.
Recall that earlier,
BetBoom Team's support player, Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Hertek, described the carry position as the easiest in Dota 2.
