A public spat has erupted between Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, manager of
Team Spirit, and commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov over differing views on the Azure Ray scandal at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational.
It all began when Korb3n shared his perspective on the
Azure Ray penalty in his Telegram channel, criticizing the allegations of double standards against the tournament organizers. Maelstorm interpreted this as a direct attack and responded with his own position on Telegram.
"Mr. Korb3n has spoken. It seems illogical to call my statement nonsense while contradicting oneself.
At the top, we see that different tournament organizers can have different rules, and the situation is normal.
At the bottom, we see that the decision of one TO is 'complete nonsense.' So is it nonsense or not? Please decide.
My point was that the penalties are TOO different, even considering the different TOs, which is strange"
Maelstorm further explained that comparing tournament organizer rules to the laws of different countries is not entirely accurate. He also expressed disagreement with Team Spirit's manager, stating that justifying such disparate decisions by citing the laws of various countries is quite odd. He noted that Korb3n didn’t actually justify the decisions but labeled one of them as nonsense.
Maelstorm then directly addressed Korb3n, pointing out that Korb3n didn’t mention his name in his post, although Maelstorm believes the manager's comments were in reaction to his statements about the
Azure Ray penalty.
"It’s interesting why he was too shy to name me, whether he read about it somewhere else (did someone besides me write about it?) or if I’m some kind of person too shameful to mention"
Korb3n has not yet responded to the situation, but it is possible that the
Team Spirit manager may also express his position on the conflict in a future Telegram post.

To recall, the scandal began over the ambiguous decision by the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational organizers to impose a 70-second penalty on
Azure Ray player for watching a stream during an official match.
