Kiyotaka called patch 7.39c the best for midlaners, explaining what has changed

Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov, who plays for Aurora, said that patch 7.39c is perfect for miders and is extremely happy about the removal of Trusty Shovel from Dota 2.

"I think it's the best patch for miders right now because all heroes are good, you can't abuse Bottle, no one helps the enemy mider. You just fight 3 on 3 on runes to determine the strongest. He said that now middies can fight fairly, because after the removal of Trusty Shovel players have to calculate their resources and play for real. If before the outcome of the battle could be decided by luck, now everything depends on skill.

"Do you like that you can pick Shadow Fiend, Queen of Pain, and Ember Spirit? Those are the heroes I've been playing all my life. I like them because you can show the difference in skill by pushing buttons correctly. Obviously, I like that they're strong in this patch"

He also singled out three heroes from the Riyadh Masters 2025 meta, deeming them ideal for midrange, and even boasted that they're practically his signature heroes. That's why, kiyotaka admitted, he likes the championship meta so much.
