Kiritych explained why Team Secret didn’t qualify for The International 2025

Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov, the carry of Team Secret, said that the roster was assembled in a hurry, and there was no time for training - that's why the team failed to make it to The International 2025.
The cybersportsman said in his Telegram channel:
"We lost to Yellow Submarine. It was very frustrating, even somewhere painful in the soul, because these are the main tournaments you want to qualify for. Every year you have a goal to get to Int and EWC. When you don't make it through... It's sad, very sad. I tried really hard, but I'll be honest - I wasn't rested.
After DreamLeague 26, I didn't even have one day to chill. Immediately - open quals, immediately - flight, then - training. I just probably didn't mentally and emotionally reset somewhere, I wasn't in the best shape. I played normally, pressed the buttons normally, but mentally I was not ready. I needed at least one or two days to reset after DreamLeague. That's life.
I just didn't have time. And the roster was assembled a couple days before the open quals. I believe that we did not train at all. The result - the corresponding result"
Kiritych expressed regret that he was unable to qualify for the two main Dota 2 tournaments of the year. He noted that he was exhausted after DreamLeague 26 and didn't have time to recover. Moreover, the Team Secret squad was assembled just a couple of days before the qualifications, and the team simply had no time for training and chemistry.
Earlier Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnaryov admitted that he earned more money on the show tournament than on The International.
