Kez turned out to be a copy of a character from Deadlock

Austin "Capitalist" Walsh, a well-known streamer, pointed out the striking resemblance between the new Dota 2 hero Kez, who debuted in Act 4 of Crownfall, and the character Yamato from Deadlock.

He shared his observations on X (Twitter), posting comparison screenshots.

Although the resemblance is somewhat distant, it is still notable. Both characters are designed as samurai warriors, armed with katanas, and focused on close combat and agility. Additionally, both heroes have a similar color palette.

Furthermore, the skills of the two heroes also appear very similar. Players have noted that the first two abilities of both heroes are largely identical. In the opinion of fans, Echo Slash closely resembles Power Slash from Yamato - both abilities are katana strikes with similar effects. Additionally, the similarity between Flying Strike from Yamato and Grappling Claw from Kez has been pointed out.

It is worth remembering that Valve released the new hero Kez, who was introduced in Dota 2 with the launch of Act 4 of Crownfall.
