iNSaNiA revealed the real reason for Team Liquid's elimination from ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Team Liquid was weakened by the absence of their coach William "Blitz" Lee, and together with the release of the new patch, it negatively affected the team's performance at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

Aiden 'iNSaNiA' Sarkoi, representing Team Liquid, made this statement during a post-match interview.

"Obviously, we didn't have Blitz from the USA with us. It's a loss of part of the coaching staff, and Germany's Jabbz can't take on all of his standard duties. It's a bit sad, in my opinion. But overall, we're very satisfied. Definitely not disappointed"

He emphasized that even though their analyst Matis "Jabbz" Frizell was with them, he couldn't handle all of the coach's responsibilities alone, and perhaps that is the reason for their elimination from the tournament.

Many spectators and Dota 2 analysts believed that Team Liquid would reach the grand final of ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and compete against Gaimin Gladiators. However, the Chinese team Azure Ray demonstrated an incredible level of play and became the champion of the tournament.
