Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi, the support player for
Team Liquid, has announced his departure from the roster and his retirement from professional Dota 2.
The news was shared on the organization’s official X (Twitter) page.
“After six unforgettable years with Team Liquid, Aydin iNSaNiA has announced his retirement from professional Dota 2.
His story has come full circle — after lifting the Aegis of Champions at The International 2024, a moment that will forever remain one of the defining chapters in our team’s history. We’re proud that Team Liquid became the place where he chose to close this chapter, and we are endlessly grateful for all the years spent together.
Few can say they’ve reached the very peak of their craft, and even fewer can say they’ve done it while being loved by everyone they’ve met along the way. Aydin is one of those rare few, and everyone who crossed paths with him became better for it.
We’ll soon share something special to honor his legacy, but for now, we express our deepest gratitude and wish Aydin success in everything that lies ahead.”
According to the organization, iNSaNiA decided not only to leave the team but also to end his professional career. Over the years, the support player has won five major tournaments, including The International 2024, where he earned the title of world champion.
