Aiden “Insania” Sarkoi believes that all Dota 2 championships throughout the year should be divided into four main stages, each of which would end with a tournament hosted by one of the leading tournament operators. In such a schedule, The International could serve as the final event.
The player shared this proposal in an interview with Blast.
"It would be great to divide the year into four main stages, with one organizer — BLAST, ESL, FISSURE, or PGL — hosting one major event at each stage.
In between, small online tournaments or studio events could be held to maintain interest. At the end of the year, The International could be held as a grand finale."
According to the player, fans are tired of watching a multitude of major tournaments, and such a schedule would make them more structured and exciting for the community. Aiden “Insania” Sarkoi believes that fans simply don't have time to watch all the championships right now, but they would definitely watch four major tournaments with large prize pools.
“This would bring structure and make participating in and watching tournaments much more exciting. Right now, many Dota fans simply don't have the time to follow twelve or more tournaments a year, but they would definitely watch four prestigious championships with high stakes and large prize pools.”
Earlier, Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkoi named the main favorite for The International 2025, noting that he does not believe in
Team Liquid's victory.
