HLTV explained why Nota did not get MVP

Martin "Striker" Shveyda, the chief editor of HLTV, explained that Emil "nota" Moskvitin did not get the MVP medal of BLAST Bounty Winter 2026, because he did not show outstanding results until the very final of the tournament.

Such statement was published on the page HLTV Confirmed on X.

"Nota did not participate in the race for MVP before the final. He had an amazing final, but this is only one series, three maps. But thanks to this he was on the top of the list"

Striker noted that Nota really showed incredible game in the final of the tournament, but before that he even had no chances to enter the top 10 players of the tournament. Nevertheless, thanks to the astonishing final, he became closer to the top of the list.

Many in the CS2 community was surprised by such decision, because many thought that winning the tournament is one of the most important factors in determining MVP, along with performance.

It is remind, that previously Team Falcons lost all tournament finals in CS2 after signing Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.
