Historical event in Dota 2: users achieved a unique accomplishment

Players have achieved a historic milestone in Dota 2 by playing over a billion matches as Pudge, making him the most popular hero in the game's history.

Phantom Assassin came in second with 704 million matches. This means Pudge closest competitor only had 400 million games played compared to Pudges's 1 billion. Even though he is very popular among player base, his winrate still remains at average level around 50% while pick rate being at 33%.

What impresses me even more than these numbers though is how many hours people put into this hero – it’s somewhere between seven hundred and eight hundred millions!

It should be noted that Valve made surprising changes to one of his abilities in their latest DOTA update.
