Reddit user TermLiving2705 has found signs in Dota 2 files that Valve may be preparing a full Battle Pass for The International 2025.
He shared his findings in a threaded discussion on Reddit.
According to the user, the found lines of code coincide with elements typical for Battle Passes of the past years - not for compendiums or seasonal events like Crownfall.

According to the enthusiast, this is the Battle Pass that the developers were working on back in 2024, but for unknown reasons never released. He suggests that the release may take place in the near future. However, at the moment Valve has not officially announced anything.
Recall that after 2022, the company refused to release full Battle Passes, replacing them with stripped-down versions. This decision greatly affected the prize pool of The International - from $18.9 million in 2022, it was reduced to $3.3 million in 2023.
Now fans have hope that in 2025 the tradition will return, and with it the big rewards for the participants of the main Dota 2 tournament. However, in the comments, one Reddit user refuted TermLiving2705's conclusions, noting that many of the files mentioned were either not modified or not used by Valve at all. According to him, this can not be considered even a hint of the return of a full Battle Pass.
Earlier, players discovered that a critical bug in Dota 2 allows you to drop almost the entire opposing team from the match.
