Sergey “Hally” Shavaev stated that
Team Spirit lost their match against Furia in the playoffs of the IEM Krakow Counter-Strike 2 tournament due to weak team gameplay and a number of individual mistakes made by the players.
The player's address to his teammates was posted on YouTube.
"It's not the most pleasant defeat, but there are no pleasant defeats. We lost the match because we didn't fully understand how they were playing, we were worse as a team. We made mistakes in micro, in clutches, and in understanding how the map moves.
Speaking of Nuke, we forced a lot of buy rounds, but where we could have finished the game, we couldn't get a foothold. Where we should have had highground on the street, we had them at the base. These mistakes led to an unpleasant defeat."
According to Sergey “Hally” Shavaev, his team did not understand their opponents' strategy in the match for a place in the grand final, and also made mistakes in moving around the map and other technical nuances of the game. The esports player was most dissatisfied with the team's performance on the Nuke map, where
Team Spirit failed to take advantage of the opportunity to turn the match in their favor.
It should be noted that Sergey “Hally” Shavaev also spoke candidly about
Team Spirit's current level of preparation.
