Danil "Gpk" Skutin, the former midlaner of
BetBoom Team, stated that he might retire from his esports career and leave the Dota 2 pro scene.
He shared this during a Twitch stream.
"Is there a chance you won't play on any team anymore? Yes, there is. I think it's even high. But we'll see"
The player noted that there is a very high likelihood he won't compete this Dota 2 season. However, he is unsure and might change his decision if he receives a serious offer.
Moreover, this statement sharply contrasts with what
BetBoom Team said about Gpk potentially playing for the team in one of the Dota 2 tournaments. Additionally, Dmitry "Korb3n" Belyov, the manager of
Team Spirit, shared insider information that Gpk might return to the pro scene as early as January 2025.
For now, the player remains inactive with
BetBoom Team, so it's unclear if he will join another team in the near future.
