Jean "Gorgc" Stefanovski, a well-known streamer, suggested that Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi, the captain of
Nigma Galaxy, likely doesn't play in public matches because he relaxes and enjoys games on his undisclosed smurf account.
Gorgc made this statement during one of his Twitch streams.
"A smurf? Yeah, that sounds reasonable. At least it's plausible. I don't know myself. KuroKy doesn't run into me in pubs. I would like to have him on my team, of course, but he probably doesn't have enough MMR. Most likely, he's chilling somewhere lower and playing there at ease. It's cool, you know, to play without stressing"
The streamer also speculated that he has never encountered KuroKy on the same team, even on a smurf account, likely due to a lower MMR rating. He expressed surprise that the esports player is playing at such a relaxed level but cited the example of Markus "Ace" Hoelgaard, who elevated his skill to new heights on a smurf account.
"Ace did this for years before becoming one of the best offlaners in the world. I remember he disappeared and stopped playing at a competitive level after Team Secret. And then he played somewhere at 7k MMR in role matchmaking on offlane 24/7. People thought he died or disappeared. They were like, 'Where's Ace?' And he came back a year or two later and skyrocketed. You can get better by playing on smurfs and all that. For training purposes, of course"
However, Gorgc expressed opposition to smurf accounts and criticized Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko from
BetBoom Team for playing games not from his main account.
