Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski was dissatisfied with the fact that five players from Eastern Europe are participating in the Western European regional qualifiers for The International 2025.
The streamer shared his opinion on Twitch.
“What are five Eastern European players doing in the Western European qualifiers? Damn it. They should have been disqualified before the tournament even started.”
However, Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski noted that he does not want to offend the players in question, as they are not breaking any rules by participating in the qualifiers for the main tournament through Western Europe. Nevertheless, the content creator believes that this is the first time this has happened in the history of The International qualifiers, which is why the rules of the qualifiers need to be changed.
“No offense, they are, of course, acting in accordance with the rules. I don't blame the Eastern European teams, even considering that some of them are qualifying through Western Europe. But the rules need to be changed. This is happening for the first time in 15 years of open qualifiers for TI. It's nonsense.”
As a reminder, Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov previously hinted that he might attend The International 2025 as a stand-in.
