After Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp's exit,
Gaimin Gladiators will continue operating until The International 2025, at which point, the team will dissolve.
This was shared on stream by Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, manager of
Team Spirit.
“Gaimin Gladiators went on the chop Seleri – I think this is a **** mistake. But I believe the Gladiators themselves grasp how this will end. They are merely competing until TI, then it’s Toto Goodbye. I have no idea why they would allow Seleri to leave during the current meta. ‘Seleri, join my team Submarine!’ Oh wait, no, don’t, I have Xakoda. Alright, Seleri, don’t come. But seriously, its astonishing how they let Seleri go so easily”
Korb3n reiterated his opinion, stating that
Gaimin Gladiators stand no chance of recovery after losing Seleri. He seems to think the franchise could have done anything to retain the man, dubbed one the best supports in the world.
Additionally, the manager has made the claim that these circumstances will force GG to nigh-on guaranteed disband after The International 2025.
Korb3n’s statements follow the news that Seleri has gone inactive, as he is set to be replaced in the rotation by Arman “Malady” Orazbayev, who is a long-time friend of Alimzhan “Watson” Islamabekov.
