Erik "Tofu" Engel, support for Gaimin Gladiators, admitted that he expected the team's performance to improve after the removal of Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov, but the series of slumps has dragged on, and the roster still doesn’t know how to fix it.

He made this statement during an interview with BLAST TV.

"This season has been really tough for us, but we hope that we’ll be able to get out of this prolonged slump soon. We’re still working on it, putting in a lot of effort to improve, but the start turned out much harder than we expected. We thought things would go differently"

Tofu noted that the team showed great results during the training sessions after Dyrachyo’s departure, but soon things took a turn.

"The first games with Watson were promising. The first two weeks of practice went great, but it’s unclear what went wrong. Maybe it was the 'honeymoon phase.' It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cause of the performance fluctuations, as many factors influence the outcome, including individual form, team chemistry, interaction, and the overall approach to the game"

Nonetheless, Tofu remains hopeful that things will improve soon, as Gaimin Gladiators are putting in a lot of effort to fix the situation and regain the team's performance.

Earlier, Tofu explained why the team decided to change the roster despite a decent Dota 2 season.
