Gaimin Gladiators revealed the real reason for Seleri's departure

Gaimin Gladiators informs that due to the congested Dota 2 competition calendar, Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp has gone inactive but hopes to return in the not-so-distant future.

As the organization announced this on their official commune on X (Twitter) page.

“Today, we would like to inform you that with effect immediately, a new roster for Dota 2 has been created. Malady will replace Seleri who has been put in the inactive roster for the remaining match in the closed qualifiers for FISSURE Universe 4 versus the Yakult Brothers.

This action has been taken in order to facilitate a more extended break of Seler1 from Dota 2 owing to the busy tournament calendar. Special thanks to L1ga for their assistance in this matter. The organization respect Seleri’s decision and wish to see him on the competitive scene soon”

The club also pointed out that the off-season main roster wasn’t filled by Seleri and claim it was his decision but one undoubtedly linked to needing some personal time. However from the wording, it does suggest that a rest from the professional side of Dota 2 will not last long and that the player in question should make his way back for the roster campaign.
