Representatives of the
Gaimin Gladiators esports organization reported that the Dota 2 roster players expressed their desire to compete at The International 2025 independently, without the esports club's tag, which made withdrawal from the tournament the only possible solution.
The corresponding statement was made on Telegram.
"To everyone who supports us,
After lengthy discussions with the current
Gaimin Gladiators Dota 2 roster and their representatives, we have made the extremely difficult decision to withdraw from The International 2025 in Hamburg.
Despite all our efforts, the team's representatives have informed us that the players prefer to compete independently, without
Gaimin Gladiators. Due to the rules governing roster changes, we could not guarantee a stable or suitable roster for the current TI. Under these circumstances, officially withdrawing from participation was the only possible solution."

Representatives of the esports club also noted that they cannot disclose all the details of the situation due to the work of the legal team.
Gaimin Gladiators promised to provide fans with more details about the situation later.
"At the moment, our legal team is working on this issue, which limits what we can share. We understand the significance of this news for our fans and supporters and will provide a full and transparent report as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult period."
It is worth noting that the Dota 2 players have stated their view of the situation. Earlier, Quinn Callahan stated that the team members were ready to play at The International 2025 under the
Gaimin Gladiators tag, which, according to the esports player, the team communicated in writing to the organization's representatives, who independently decided to withdraw from the tournament.
