Gaimin Gladiators have announced that they will not be participating in one of the largest Dota 2 tournaments

Gaimin Gladiators officially announced that the team will skip Elite League Season 2, with a prize pool of $800,000. The reason cited is player fatigue following Riyadh Masters 2024 and the start of their bootcamp for TI13.
The club released an official statement on their X (Twitter) page.

"This message is addressed to the wonderful Latin American community, which we believe deserves an explanation as to why we will not participate in the second season of the Elite League in Lima, Peru. The first reason is fatigue. Yesterday's victory brought us immense joy, but it was the result of hard work. The team trained tirelessly for three weeks before the tournament. Considering the duration of the competition and the time spent at the bootcamp, the players have been giving their all for five weeks without a break. Therefore, the team simply needs to rest, celebrate the victory, see their families, and recharge"
It is noted that the players are very tired due to extensive training before Riyadh Masters 2024, so the team wants to recuperate. However, there is another equally important reason—the start of their bootcamp for The International 2024.
"The second reason is that our bootcamp for The International 2024 will take place in mid-August. The rest period between tournaments for our team is approximately three weeks. These are the two reasons why we will not be participating in the tournament in Lima. Our team enjoyed The Lima Major 2023; the players themselves mentioned it in several interviews. While Gladiators is primarily a European-Canadian organization, a significant portion of our staff has connections to South America, and we would love to visit. Many thanks to ESB for the invitation to their tournament. We hope to attend one of them in the future"
They thanked the community and organizers for the invitation but had to decline due to the stated reasons. Nevertheless, GG hopes to attend the next season of the tournament.
It is worth noting that earlier, Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov talked about an unusual habit of the Gaimin Gladiators during matches.
