Eric “Tofu” Engel has stated that the
Gaimin Gladiators roster saw problems not only in Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, causing the team to consider replacing players in other positions.
The player shared the relevant opinion in an interview with Cyber.sports.
“It wasn't always about Anton. In general, everyone had problems. We were thinking about possible changes in other positions. Sometimes people have bad individual performances or even bad tournaments. We need to talk about what's going on, what's wrong. Just at the end of the year something had to change.”
The player also stated that the team started to feel the problems within the squad even after TI12, but while discussing the prospect of replacements, the players decided to continue playing together, gradually solving the problems. Although the team did not want to break up, as the players felt the great potential of the past roster, playing together became more and more difficult with each tournament.
Earlier, Oliver “Skiter” Lepko addressed Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, urging the player to return to the pro scene.
