Gabe Newell delivered yet another address at The International 2025

Gabe Newell, the founder of Valve, made another surprise appearance at TI14, announcing himself that The International 2026 will be held in Shanghai.

This happened at the grand final of the Dota 2 World Championship.

“Hi, it’s Gabe again. First, I’d like to thank all the viewers in Germany who helped us make this The International an exciting one. I wanted to give you a quick preview before we reveal the new champions. We all share your love for the game with the global community. And I’m happy to announce that The International will be returning to one of its previous locations next year – Shanghai. See you there”

Gabe Newell thanked the fans for helping make The International 2025 unforgettable. He also reminded that the next Dota 2 World Championship will be held in a place that has already been – Shanghai.
