Artem “fng” Barshak was upset about the lack of new custom items in Frostivus, because of which he decided not to buy chests. Also negative impressions were left by the mass bans that players received along with the release of the holiday update.
The corresponding opinion of the player shared on Twitch.
“Here are these bans with smurfs not so much. Event, frankly speaking, I expected that there will be a straightforward customs some fun, something new. But for some reason it all didn't happen, and I got upset and decided not to buy chests.”
This year's Frostivus came without the gameplay patch that many Dota 2 players have been waiting for along with the holiday update. Valve was expected to release the New Year's event and global patch 7.38 this week, but as of now, players still haven't held on to the changes in the meta.
As a reminder, players have been experiencing a lot of bugs since the release of Frostivus, despite the lack of a gameplay patch in the holiday update.
