Fng suggested creating a separate MMR for each position in Dota 2

Artem "Fng" Barshak, the former captain of Virtus.pro, suggested that developers create a separate MMR rating for each role in Dota 2 to improve matchmaking.

The esports athlete made this proposal during a Twitch stream.

"It would be great if they separated the rankings. I could play on my main account as a core. That would be awesome. They would give me 5,000 rating there, and I could climb on cores or other positions. It would be fantastic. Because going into my main account and playing as a support in 12k... I don't know, there's no pleasure in that for me right now"

According to him, Valve could divide the MMR by role, allowing esports players and casual gamers to try new roles while raising their ratings in specific positions.
