Fng pointed out a nuance behind Miracle’s legendary status

Artem «Fng» Barshak stated that Amer «Miracle-» Al-Barkawi is indeed a Dota 2 legend, but he did not achieve it alone, as his teammates also did a lot of work.

The former Virtus.pro captain said this during a stream on Twitch.

«Miracle a Dota legend? Yes. He solo carried one era in Dota both by media presence, and by his gameplay. He really played well, he had his own era. For example, I most of all didn’t like when everyone said: "Miracle- carries games solo, we need to kick all the ragers, get normal players and everything will be ****". His team did a lot. But I never deny that he was very skilled for his time, made a lot of highlights…»

He explained that Miracle became legendary largely due to his media presence. Fng noted that he doesn’t deny Miracle’s skill and talent, but pointed out a nuance. According to him, the famous carry made a lot of highlights that are remembered even now, but a significant part of his achievements belongs to his teammates.

Fng reminded that Dota 2 is a team game, and without skilled teammates that Miracle had, it’s unknown if he could have reached such heights, even considering his talent.
