Artem "Fng" Barshak, the former captain of
Virtus.pro, admitted that he has no desire to return to the Dota 2 pro scene after failing to achieve the desired results over his long esports career.
He shared this during a Twitch stream.
"Will you return to esports? I don't think so. I'm not tired of competitive Dota, but there are factors like skill and finding a team. It feels like you've been through so much, but there's no result. And that makes you think that you either need luck to get into a super strong team, but I’m not counting on that, or you need to start all over again, but for that, you need faith not only in yourself but also in those around you. These factors haven’t aligned"
According to the player, he isn’t tired of competitive Dota 2, but he doesn't plan to spend energy searching for a team or regaining his prime form. He also confessed to being disappointed with his results in the pro scene and no longer believes he can start over to achieve success.
That’s why Fng believes he is unlikely to return to the ranks of esports players. However, the player has not yet shared what his future plans are.
Earlier, Fng proposed creating a separate MMR for each position in Dota 2 to diversify matchmaking.
