Dmitry "Fishman" Polischuk, former captain of
Entity, addressed fans, urging them not to become eSportsmen. According to him, this is an extremely risky decision, and only a few manage to achieve real success.
He said this during a stream on Twitch.
"You just need to love playing on the computer - that's all. You can't say: "Play Dota 2, because it has the biggest prize money." You won't become a professional that way. You need to play what you really like and what is closer to you in spirit, even if it is not the most developed eSports discipline. Becoming an eSportsman is not the best idea"
According to him, you cannot become a pro player simply by choosing the most profitable discipline. He emphasized that you need to play for fun, not for money. However, Fishman noted that only a few manage to achieve success in eSports.
"I succeeded: I went to tournaments, got a salary. But five years ago, there were 30-40 people of the same level next to me. Of them, 28 eventually went to work at the plant - and they weren't really hired there either. Many don't know how to do anything. Some played eSports, earned $500-1000 a month - and that's it, no one needed them again. What do they know? Nothing. They didn't develop media. And how can you develop it if you don't produce results? No way"
He gave an example from his life, noting that he was the only one of dozens of players who managed to build a successful career. According to Fishman, it is important to develop a media presence, because it helps not only to earn money during a career, but also to find yourself after it ends.
Let us remind you that it was previously announced that
Gaimin Gladiators are going to the tournament without one of the members of the team.
