A fight broke out between participants at a Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament

During the DFRAG Wildcard Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament, a fight broke out between players from Ground Zero and Mindfreak.

Mindfreak player Matthew “Texta” O’Rourke got into a fight with an opponent from the Ground Zero team after the first map of the lower bracket match. The organizers conducted an investigation, thoroughly analyzing video footage and interviewing representatives from both teams. As a result, Matthew “Texta” O’Rourke was banned from playing in the tournament operator’s events for 6 months, but the team was allowed to continue competing in the championship with a coach.
