Zhang "Faith_bian" Zhuida, also known as Bach, decided to return to esports due to his age, as he is uncertain how long he can continue playing Dota 2. The esports player feels significant changes in his life and believes that after turning 30, he won't have the opportunity to play at a professional level anymore.
The offlaner for
Azure Ray made this statement in an exclusive interview with Gosugamers.
"I'm 25 years old, and I don't know how long I'll be able to play. This is the job I can do right now, but maybe it won't be possible after 30. A lot has happened to me over the past year, and it made me think about returning. While I was inactive, I was invited to many teams, but this time, after discussing everything with my family and seeing who else would be in the lineup, I decided to give it a try."
Faith_bian joined the revamped
Azure Ray roster on the last day of 2023 after the previous lineup's victory at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. Before the end of 2022, the esports player competed with PSG.LGD, and he was mostly inactive throughout 2023. Alongside Faith_bian, the roster competed in BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, securing fourth place, Games of the Future 2024, where the team shared the 5-8th spot, and DreamLeague Season 22. In the latter tournament, the team was eliminated after the initial group stage, finishing in the 11-12th place.

It's worth mentioning that earlier, Zhang "Faith_bian" Zhuida explained why he chose the additional pseudonym Bach.
