FACEIT denied the existence of a hidden pool on its platform, noting that player winstreaks are not considered when matches are created.
This statement was made by platform administrator Darwin on his X page.
“This has long become an urban legend. I can say with confidence that there is nothing in the matchmaking algorithm that takes your winstreak or similar factors into account when searching for matches”
According to Darwin, the hidden pool is just a myth, and the system does not track things like winstreaks at all. It is worth noting that many players believe that in CS2 and Dota 2 there is a hidden pool in matchmaking, which reacts to long winning streaks and tries to break them by giving worse teammates.
Despite the fact that stories about a hidden pool have existed for a long time, there has still been no real evidence that such a system works in Valve games.
Earlier, FURIA spoke about a global problem with CS2 tournaments.
