In the next season, Dota 2 ESL plans to host at least 5 major tournaments. Each of them can boast a prize pool of 1 million dollars, and there is also another mysterious tournament where only the best teams will be invited.
But that's not all the innovations; on the official ESL website, not only the tournament schedule is indicated, but also several innovations that await teams in ESL Pro Tour Season 2.
Surprises for teams
The main changes have already been highlighted by commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov on his Telegram.
List of changes:
All tournaments will have open and closed qualifications.
EPT points will be awarded at each tournament, progressively increasing towards the end of the season.
A lot of unannounced floating changes, which will be specified later. For example, the exact number of invites per region.
MENA has officially been added as a new qualification region.
The EPT table has been updated.

It seems that significant changes are in store for teams in the tournament system after the cancellation of the DPC, which could bring some structure to the chaos left by Valve.
