ESL announced a cash reward for beating Team Vitality

ESL announced a $100k reward for the team that can defeat Team Vitality in the grand final of IEM Rio.

This was posted on the official ESL page on X.

“SOMEONE BEAT THEM AT IEM RIO IM BEGGING YOU. Take down Team Vitality in an ESL Pro Tour Masters or Championship grand final and deny them their SECOND $1,000,000. We will give you extra $100,000”

It is noted that the team which can stop Team Vitality from winning another million dollars will receive this bonus reward. However, many people doubt that anyone can actually claim it, since the roster is considered one of the biggest favorites of the tournament.

Also many fans are surprised that ESL made such reward, basically introducing a new kind of rule for tournaments. It is still unclear if this kind of thing will be used at other ESL events.
