Alexey "STORM" Tumanov, a commentator and analyst for Dota 2, stated that teams involved in match-fixing made it to the finals of the Elite League: China Closed Qualifier. He accused six players from the teams of participating in match-fixing.
The corresponding statement was made during STORM's stream on Twitch.
According to him, in the team
KEV, which won the closed qualifiers, there are at least three players who allegedly participated in match-fixing. He accused three players from the roster of being involved in match-fixing: ButterflyEffect, imitator, and Undyne_.
Interestingly, he also made similar accusations against their opponents from
Team Zero in the finals. According to STORM, the following players were also involved in match-fixing: Erika, ponlo, and zzq. He emphasized that all these players are "100% 322ers," although he was not as categorical about the remaining four members of the teams' rosters.
KEV managed to defeat
Team Zero in the finals of the qualifiers with a score of 3:2, securing themselves a slot in the Elite League. The organizers of the Elite League have not yet commented on STORM's statement. The players of the teams involved have also not commented on the situation.
It is worth noting that earlier STORM pointed out a strange feature in
Team Spirit matches at DreamLeague Season 22.
