Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov doesn’t believe in
OG’s prospects on the Dota 2 pro scene, even though he initially had high hopes for the new roster.
The player shared this opinion on Twitch.
“Did I have hopes for OG? Yes, I did. I took a little break, and maybe it dawned on me—or, on the contrary, I realized that it’s not worth it… Just like how we didn’t pin our hopes on OG at the EWC or at The International, wherever they were. The roster has changed, but it’s still the same.
OG has been done and dusted for a long time. It’s a cursed tag. Don’t expect anything from this team. It doesn’t matter what the roster looks like. And Onejey, of course, put on a masterclas. Onejey—poor guy. Where did he play before this? Some halfway-decent team gave him a chance, right?
At one point, people were hyping Onejey. I never hyped him. Here he is, always puffing and huffing. He was with Virtus.pro for a while; they hyped him up there. A new era, so to speak. As it turned out, not new at all. Teams like OG are kind of like Virtus.pro. That’s all they are. Watching their struggles is entertaining.”
Acording to a statement by Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, the esports player compares
OG’s current situation to that of
Virtus.pro, where the team is trying to regain its former glory, but atempts to reshape the roster aren’t yielding the expected results—only leading to gradual stagnation.
As a reminder, Sebastian “Ceb” Debs previously addressed the members of
OG’s new Dota 2 roster.
