Dy left Xtreme Gaming

Ding "Dy" Cong, the support player for Xtreme Gaming, announced that he is leaving the team and has no plans to return to the Dota 2 pro scene. The esports player declared that The International 2024 was his last tournament.

He made this statement on his Weibo page:

"On October 28, 2018, at ESL One Hamburg, I made my debut on the international stage.

On September 14, 2024, at The International 2024 — TI13, I stood on the professional stage for the last time.

People always say that perseverance brings opportunities, but over the years, I tried many times and realized that opportunities only come once or twice. If you don't seize them, they're gone.

In my eyes, 2024 was my biggest opportunity. I gave it my best shot, and now I have no regrets"

The esports player noted that he played his last tournament in an attempt to claim the world champion title in Dota 2 and now feels he can leave the pro scene without any regrets.

"That's why I decided to leave the professional scene and return to a normal life, continuing to support CN Dota as a regular gaming streamer and cheering for Chinese teams in competitions"

He admitted that he will not return to the Dota 2 pro scene and now plans to focus on streaming, while supporting teams from his region in tournaments.

It is worth noting that yet another Dota 2 legend is stepping down and may not return to the pro scene.
