DreamHack and ESL, which organize the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 2 in Europe and CIS, changed the rules of the tournament. Now coaches can't communicate with the team during the match.

Earlier, DreamHack and ESL, without Valve's knowledge, before the start of the DPC Season 2 sent emails to the teams with the new rules, which indicated the removal of restrictions on the communication of the coach with the team. However, this was not publicly announced.
Reddit user drew attention to the fact of using the coach's help during an official match. He noticed that in the Alliance vs Brame match, coach Peter «ppd» Dager was talking to his team and giving them information.
This angered two-time The International champion and OG team captain Johan «N0tail» Sundstein. However, it soon became clear that OG and some others were not aware of the changes in the rules for the Dota Pro Circuit in Europe.
Tournament organizers reacted quickly and updated the rules. Coaches can now only talk to players until the end of the draft stage and between maps. Exactly the same rules were until the start of DPC 2021: Season 2 in Europe and CIS. In other regions, the rules have remained unchanged since the first season.
