Dota 2 fans are unhappy with The International 2023 ticket prices and Ticketmaster fees

TI tickets should not be this expensive

It's been 3 hours and tickets are still readily available. I can't remember a single live Dota major or TI that didn't sell out instantly

Yikes (just in case you can't see, this is some Redditor). 

I love Dota 2 but this pricing is even more predatory than last year. There's zero chance it won't sell out -- but it just feels even less like "The International" every year.

I attended both TI5 and TI6 (working at it so the costs were negligible) but what was amazing was meeting people from all over the world. I'd hang around by the panel area and meet so many people between games, or outside on the grassy area.

This pricing will disproportionality affect people from 'poorer' countries, which is where so many of the Dota fans in the world live. 

These are the same people who generally have to struggle the most when it comes to visas to get into the USA, and the costs of attending.

There's only three groups of people who can be happy with these high costs:
* Valve
* Ticketmaster
* Fans to whom an extra a few hundred dollars isn't that much, knowing that the high prices will reduce demand and increase their chances to get tickets.
